Curriculum Summary

Understanding of ratio concepts, use ratio reasoning to problem solve, apply and extend previous understandings of multiplication and division of fractions as well as arithmetic to algebraic expressions and solve real-world and mathematical problems throughout the concepts of geometry.

Developing a deeper understanding of proportional relationships, an understanding of operations with rational numbers, working with expressions and linear equations, problem solving involving scale drawings and working with two- and three-dimensional shapes.

Formulating and reasoning about expressions and equations, solving linear equations, using functions to describe quantitative relationships, and analyzing two- and three-dimensional space and figures using distance, angle, similarity and congruence, and the Pythagorean Theorem.
